TRIO SSS Program Application

TRIO SSS is a student support program and scholar community, designed to provide support, guidance, resources, and opportunities that enable our students to thrive in college and prepare for their futures. Our goal is to help each of our TRIO Scholars reach their full potential, both in college and as they prepare for post-graduate life. Through personalized meetings with expert advisors, workshops and hands-on learning opportunities, self-guided learning tools, career coaching planning, and unique cultural and educational trip opportunities, TRIO helps its participants make friends and campus connections, strengthen their academic skills, develop their personal financial knowledge, overcome the challenges that come with day-to-day life, manage their personal wellness, and prepare for their future after college.

TRIO is a federally funded program, supported by a grant from the US Department of Education. We serve 140 participants each year, and federal eligibility guidelines determine acceptance into the program.

This application collects information about each applicant and will allow the TRIO Team to determine eligibility based on US Department of Education guidelines. Please read each section carefully and answer each question to the best of your ability- incomplete applications cannot be processed and will be held while we follow up for additional information.

Applications from current Westminster students will be reviewed immediately. You will receive updates by email as soon as your application has been reviewed.

Applications from incoming Westminster students joining us this Fall will be reviewed beginning the first day of Westminster's Summer Session (June 4, 2024).

Please Note: This application asks questions about household income.  Before beginning the application, please have a copy of your household's most recently filed tax return or other current income documentation available for reference.
